Water Walking - Is a very basic, low-impact, light-intensity workout using the natural resistance of the water to strengthen core musculature, increase balance, coordination and flexibility. Water Walking is appropriate for those just starting an exercise program or those interested in water exercise.
Arthritis Workout - Strengthen the muscles around your joints in the comfort of a low impact water setting. We offer this low impact water exercise program designed for people with arthritis and related conditions. The water provides gentle resistance to build muscle strength and supports joints to encourage free movement. Participants should be comfortable in the water but do not need to have swimming skills.
Water Aerobics - A total body workout using a variety of quicker paced exercises held in shallow water. This class combines light aerobic workout with muscle strengthening and flexibility. Participants may use equipment to enhance workout.
AquaHIIT – This 30-minute high-intensity class is a mix of shallow and deep-water movements for swimmers of all fitness levels who are looking for a challenge in the pool. All movements can be modified but basic water comfort is required.
Clinton Junior Swim Club - Swimmers ages 5 & Up who have passed level 3. This program is designed for kids who love to swim, need to improve/ maintain their skills and want to be challenged in the water. This program has no attendance or competition requirements or commitments. These swimmers will learn aspects of competitive swim team etiquette and language but it is NOT a swim team. These swimmers will have goals and reward incentives for their hard work. Requirements: Active Clinton Community YMCA Membership, swim one length of the pool (25yds) freestyle without stopping, swim one length of the pool (25 yds) backstroke without stopping, tread water for 1 minute without the use of hands.
